General Manager accepts permanent role

Te Rūnanga a Rangitāne o Wairau Trust is delighted to announce the permanent appointment of Corey Hebberd as General Manager of the Rangitāne o Wairau Group.

Corey was appointed as our Kaiwhakahaere Rawa Tauhokohoko (Commercial Property Manager) in 2019, and for the last five months has been the interim General Manager following the departure of Nick Chin at the end of March.

Trust Co-Chairpersons Janis de Thierry and Calvin Hart say that “Corey has provided stability and certainty during his time in the interim General Manager role.  He has led the organisation through a busy and demanding period.  We acknowledge him for the role he has played to date.

“The Trust were unanimous in their support for Corey to take on the General Manager role, a reflection on the contribution and output that Corey has made to Rangitāne.  We are excited about the leadership role that Corey will continue to play as we continue to advocate and advance the strategic and operational priorities of Rangitāne.
