Woodbourne

Kia ora e te whānau,

As you know, our settlement provided for the right of first refusal over Woodbourne’s golf course, the housing estate and the air base, in conjunction with Kurahaupō iwi – Ngāti Kuia and Ngāti Apa ki te Rā Tō.

We are pleased to announce the completion of not only the first part of this process, the purchase of the former Golf Course, but also the outright purchase of the adjoining piece of land.  The two parcels of land have been leased back to Marlborough Airport Limited to resolve the carparking issues at the airport.

This is a significant step in the ongoing negotiations for Woodbourne but another small step in the much larger journey of realising the aspirations of those who have gone before us and those who set out to have our rights recognised and formalised.

Following on from the start earlier this month of our development behind the Railway Station in Horton St, this milestone at Woodbourne provides another moment of great pride for Rangitāne.
