Marae

Tuamatene Marae is located in Grovetown (Marlborough) on the former Pa Kainga of Rangitane. The present day site was a former school site and forestry camp. The land and buildings were returned to Rangitane in 2009 by the Crown.

Runanga Hall Previously known as Grovetown Community Hall, used for a range of whanau hui over four decades by Rangitane people. In 1944 the Hall was declared ‘surplus’ and purchased by the Runanga, and used for Iwi hui and administration, and returned to Rangitane Runanga by the Crown in 2009.

Rangitane Office The Runanga Office moved to the Post Office Tower in central Blenheim in 2005. At the end of 2010 Rangitane O Wairau was able to purchase this building as part of their settlement package, and consequently the building is now called ‘Rangitane House’. The office premises also includes a meeting room for discrete Iwi and whanau hui when required by members.
